It’s been a long time coming, but Dark Curry’s Undead Citadel is now available globally on PSVR2. Designed exclusively for VR, Undead Citadel delivers intense, physics-driven melee combat in a dark fantasy world crawling with the undead.

What is Undead Citadel?
At its core, Undead Citadel is a first-person action game. You fight through a plague-ridden medieval world overrun by the undead. You’ll be armed with over 60 different weapons, from swords and axes to bows and even war hammers. You’ll also find some pretty wild potions. It’s chaotic in the best way.
The game boasts a physics-based combat system designed for 1:1 movement tracking. The developers promise ‘virtually zero delay’ between your real and virtual actions. Slash, stab, parry, and knock back enemies with realistic weight and force. Every weapon has distinct attributes for damage, speed, and durability.
There’s also mystical potions like Slow Motion, Strength Boost, and Freeze Time to turn the tide against the undead.
Undead Citadel for PSVR2
As stated above, Deep Curry has built from the ground up for VR. With the PSVR2 version of Undead Citadel, precise tracking and responsive haptics ‘make a huge difference’. Undead Citadel will run at 90Hz, allowing players to experience more natural and responsive motion when turning or dodging. Undead Citadel on PSVR2 also takes advantage of the hardware through the use of adaptive triggers, adding subtle resistance as you grip a weapon, like when sliding your hand along a sword’s handle or pushing buttons in menus. It’s a small detail, but it adds a tactical feel to your interactions.
Then there’s headset haptics. When you take damage, you’ll feel a quick pulse that adds a physical edge to the action. Both of these features, adaptive triggers and headset haptics, are exclusive to the PSVR2 version.
