Dark Curry has announced the release date of the forthcoming Undead Citadel. A new horror adventure, Undead Citadel will challenge the player to explore a sprawling medieval citadel admist a great storm.
Undead Citadel has been built exclusively for VR. The team at Dark Curry has focused on physics driven melee and ranged medieval combat with real-life movements, immersing players in a visually stunning universe threatened by undead annihilation.
As soldier of fortune sir Anvil Capheus, players will discover a colossal citadel in the midst of a storm. Taking refuge from the storm, you’ll be off the belief you’ll finally found safety. However, all is not as it seems. Armed with little more than a sword, you’ll have to take the fight to the emerging undead. Look for new, better weapons and smash or cut down your enemies with extreme prejudice.
Undead Citadel Gameplay
While there is of course an ever-present narrative, Undead Citadel is concerned mostly with the exploration and combat elements. The game features more than 60 close combat weapons. These include a variety of swords, warhammers, axes, longswords and shields. Too cowardly to get in close? Find a ranged weapon for stealth kills, or line-up some powerful explosions for area damage.
There’s also a sprinkling of magic. Players can find and use slow motion, strength, invulnerability or freeze magic potions to mutate your power and obliterate the dead ones. You’ll quickly learn what is the right method for each combat encounter, as you come up against close combat, ranged or heavily armored enemy types.
Undead Citadel‘s campaign will offer more than 10 levels to explore, including both interior and exterior sections of the titular citadel. In addition, there’s a Horde more featuring leaderboards. Here, you must survive through endless waves of enemies in an attempt to reach the top of the leaderboards.
Undead Citadel is set for release via SteamVR on 8th June, 2023. The game is also coming to the Meta Quest 2 and PSVR2, however no specific date has yet been announced. Of course, we will update you when this information becomes available.
