Hide the Corpse is a chaotic and quirky VR game. As the name suggests, it’s a game about hiding corpses. Pretty obvious really. But now, publisher HyperVR Games and developer Realcast, have delivered a new update that introduces an array of game-altering modifiers to Hide the Corpse.

What is Hide the Corpse?
Hide The Corpse tasks players with stashing a body in one of six stages during a four-minute window. You’ll have to explore the environment and use your imagination in order to avoid being caught. It’s not as easy as simply shoving it under the couch… well, not always.
You must drag, drop, and maneuver Gus the corpse across levels filled with themed, physics-enabled objects. Shuffle the body through a cluttered Apartment; turn the Museum into a hidden mausoleum; overcome water physics to find a good hiding spot in a Shipwreck. These challenges and more make for an entertainingly unpredictable VR experience.
Hide the Corpse Update
The Modifiers Update brings new physics challenges to the forefront of Hide the Corpse, increasing the replayability of the game dramatically. You can combine and stack new modifiers to alter scoring and challenges across each level. The following modifiers are available in the new Hide the Corpse update:
- Gas Crisis: Gus the Corpse farts randomly during the four-minute countdown, propelling his body and any nearby objects forward with chaotic momentum.
- Flubber: Gus and other physics objects bounce off surfaces, making movement unpredictable.
- Saturday Slip Fever: Now covered in oil, Gus slides through the level, requiring careful control.
To access the modifiers, interact with the new Modifier selector next to the level doors.
In addition to the modifiers, this update also includes changes to the Wardrobe door, adds a dedicated door for level selection, and implements various improvements to game flow and visual polish.
What’s Next from HyperVR Games?
Hide the Corpse’s Modifiers Update is now available on Meta Quest devices as a free update. The game is available on the Meta Quest Store for $14.99 USD, with SteamVR and PSVR versions launching soon.
