UK based VR developer Psytec Games recently revealed their next title, Titan Isles. Coming off the back of a strong performance from the popular Windlands 2, Titan Isles looks set to bring the freedom of movement of that series to a more mechanised style of gameplay. Titanfall in VR, anybody? That definitely sounds like an intriguing prospect to us.

What is Titan Isles?
Titan Isles is a co-op action game set on the broken world of Toska. The land has been shattered to ruins by the mysterious awakening of giant Titans, and you are cast into an epic struggle for survival and revenge.
As one of few survivors, you‘ll battle swarming robots and formidable colossal Titans. All while mounted in one of four different Exo Suits. The game promises free-flowing gameplay, in which you can decide how you tackle each objective. Choosing the Exo Suit with the best weapon and traversal equipment for the mission ahead is key to overcoming its challenges.
The game can be played solo, but is designed for co-op gameplay. Up to four players can jump into the action together, journeying through the world and taking down enemies both small and large. And of course, you can mix-and-match your choice of Exo Suits. You won’t be prevented from choosing your favourite based on which your friends choose!
Not much else is yet known about the game. However, you can catch a glimpse of it in action in 131XR‘s short covering the initial reveal below.
Psytec Games has Pedigree
Psytec Games’ catalogue of VR releases proves that it’s a studio worth investing in. The popular Windlands series is no slouch, and has seen a release on new every VR format of recent years. Prior to that came Crystal Rift; a very early VR dungeon crawler that still has a keen fanbase. The studio has been developing VR content for over a decade now, and has regularly seen fit to revamp older titles for newer hardware.
XRSource delivered a Windlands 2 review upon it’s release for Meta Quest 2, stating: “Swinging through the environment is a fantastic experience and thanks to years served, the addition of advanced modes and other challenges make for a well-rounded package.”
The team at Psytec Games only produce VR titles. They are passionate about the medium, and as such has built a strong fanbase supporting their work.
Titan Isles FAQ
Following the announcement of the latest title from Psytec Games last month, there have been many questions about the game. Thus, the studio has seen fit to publish an FAQ to address many of them.
Sadly, at present there’s no confirmed release date for the game. Also worthy of note is the fact that crossplay between PC VR and Meta Quest has been confirmed. This is of course great news for players with friends on a different VR format.
