Resolution Games is currently working on two upcoming XR titles (that we know of). There’s the highly anticipated Dungeons & Dragons, and then there’s the mixed reality game, Spatial Ops. Revealing further details regarding the latter, the studio has launched pre-orders on Meta Quest as well as confirming Spatial Ops’ single-player options.

Single & Multiplayer Mayhem
Spatial Ops has been available in beta form on SideQuest for a little while now. Showcasing the game’s core multiplayer mode ‘Arena’, players have been able to collaborate in Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and Domination modes.
Now, Resolution Games has detailed a story-driven single-player experience. You’ll be able to enjoy a 2-hour campaign house in an 80s action/sci-fi movie-inspired setting. Take on the role of an agent and fight through seven handcrafted levels, unlocking and upgrading your weapons as you go.
“This game is all about capturing the magic of all that mixed reality has to offer – including blending the game into the player’s real world with no clear distinction between the two,” said Tommy Palm, CEO and founder of Resolution Games in a statement. “In Spatial Ops, agents will face enemies in Arena Mode coming out at them from behind a wall and hiding behind their own furniture in their real space while bullets hit the walls and grenades bouncing off of their real furniture – it’s a mind-blowing experience comparable to nothing else. And now we are thrilled to share with players that in addition to the Arena version for a larger group of friends, players will also be able to play a single-player campaign mode for agents to experience the ultimate mixed reality experience solo as portals to other dimensions spawn around them.”
