What is BIG Festival?

gamescom latam presents the BIG Festival 2024, which celebrates the best in the global market of games. This year, the panel has reviewed 922 entries from 74 countries before narrowing down to a distinguished roster of 114 games, over half of which hail from international developers. Scheduled from 26th to 30th June, 2024, at the São Paulo Expo, the festival offers attendees the unique opportunity to test all the finalist games.

The festival’s awards are segmented into 17 categories. Mostly, the award is decided by a specialised jury, but attendees can also participate in the voting for the Best Game by Popular Vote.

Award Categories

The ‘technical awards’ will include categories such as Best Sound, Best Art, Best Multiplayer, Best Narrative, Best XR/VR, and Best Gameplay. The main award categories are Best Casual Game, Best Game, Best Game: Latin America, and Best Game: Brazil.

The BIG Festival 2024 finalists for the Best Game award include Jusant, Laika: Aged Through Blood, Pacific Drive, Dordogne and more. You can find all of the finalists on the official website. But for XR fans, below are the details you’ve been looking for!
