C-Smash VRS Heads to Meta Quest in April

Futuristic sports game C-Smash VRS originally arrived for PSVR 2 in 2023. Receiving positive feedback from players RapidEyeMovers and Wolf & Wood have announced a Meta Quest edition. And there isn’t too long to wait either, with C-Smash VRS hitting Quest in April.

A VR reinvention of a SEGA Dreamcast classic Cosmic Smash, C-Smash VRS combines racket sports and action puzzle gameplay. Players can dash, duck and perform trick smashes as they complete dozens of levels that combine fun and fitness.

With challenges set in low-gravity levels, players can listen to dynamic music with original tracks from DJ Ken Ishii (Rez Infinite), Danalogue (The Comet is Coming). Whilst extensive accessibility options allow for standing, seated, one- or two-, left or right-handed play styles.

The Meta Quest edition will enjoy all the latest updates from the PSVR 2 version. There’s the robust single-player where you can complete 140 levels or go up against AI bots. Or you can also bring a mate along for a co-op gameplay session. Other modes include Infinity and Versus if you’re looking for a new challenge.

Some of the most recent additions to the game include global leaderboards, a music player, 40 new stages and new music from UNKLE. Furthermore, a cross-platform multiplayer mode has been mentioned, but no date has been set.

C-Smash VRS will be released for Meta Quest on 4th April 2024. As with a lot of VR games nowadays, on its official Quest Store page there’s a pre-order discount available until launch day. So you can pick up C-Smash VRS with a 10% discount.
