We might all be excited for Metro Awakening VR coming later this year but there’s another huge IP just around the corner. Stranger Things VR is a Meta Quest exclusive that we’ve all known about for some time. What we’ve been waiting for is an exact launch date, with developer Tender Claws confirming its arrival at the end of February.
Stranger Things VR was due to hit Quest headsets back in November. However, the launch date was pushed back into 2024, accompanied by a vague Feb window. Now we know Eleven’s VR debut will be taking place on 22nd February.
However, as you may already know, you won’t be stepping into her shoes for this VR outing. Instead, Tender Claws has gone in a slightly different direction, placing you in control of Vecna. Yes, you’ll be Eleven’s arch-nemesis, exploring unknown realities, forming the hive mind, and enacting his plan for revenge against the gang.

As Vecna, you’ll have access to a range of powers and otherworldly abilities. Fans will also learn new secrets regarding Vecna’s influence over past seasons, including the complex relationship between Dr. Brenner and Henry Creel.
“Players will invade the dreams and memories of fan-favourite characters and harness telekinetic powers to possess minds and battle creatures, as Henry Creel’s transformation into Vecna and his influence on the events of prior seasons is revealed.” Original show actors Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna) and Matthew Modine (Dr. Brenner) have lent their vocal talents to the game.
Using Quest’s hand-tracking capabilities, you’ll be able to open and close portals with a wave of your wrist.
Ahead of Stranger Things VR‘s launch on Quest this month, you can pre-order the game with a discount. Until 22nd February you can get 10% off the game.
