This year Survios’ boxing game Creed: Rise to Glory celebrates its fifth anniversary. To mark the occasion the developer will launch a brand new content update adding new fitness features, a new character and more. Called the ‘Sweet Update’ it arrives today for Creed: Rise to Glory – Championship Edition on PSVR 2 and Meta Quest headsets.

Fitness has been an ever-growing component in VR gaming and a title like Creed: Rise to Glory certainly fits the bill. Today’s update will allow players to set fitness goals, such as personal calorie or time goals. These work no matter the gameplay mode plus they can be adjusted on the fly.

Creed: Rise to Glory has always featured some iconic characters and Sweet Science now adds another, Tommy “The Machine” Gunn. The heavyweight champion portrayed in Rocky V by Tommy Morrison is a welcome addition to the roster. Furthermore, if you own the Deluxe Edition on PSVR 2 then you’ll also get an exclusive glow costume.

Creed Sweet Science on Quest 3

The update will, of course, feature smaller improvements like refining the PvP multiplayer and matchmaking. On Metra Quest, however, there will also be several platform-specific additions.

Firstly, there’s official Meta Quest 3 support, making use of the headset’s enhanced features. Quest 2 will get an additional performance boost alongside beta support for hand tracking. The latter should make Creed: Rise to Glory even more immersive with players able to navigate the UI without having to “re-glove”.

“With the enhanced features of the upcoming Quest 3 and the extensive ‘Sweet Science’ update, we are taking Creed: Rise to Glory to unprecedented heights,” said TQ Jefferson, Chief Product Officer at Survios in a statement. “Our commitment to innovation and immersive gameplay is stronger than ever, and we cannot wait for both new and returning players to experience the next evolution of VR boxing.”
