Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord DLC Roadmap Revealed

The upcoming Ghostbusters VR game has been haunting headlines recently. Not only did we get a release date, but also confirmation that Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord will support crossplay. Now, we also have news on the DLC plans for the game. Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord will benefit from a planned six months of DLC updates, all included as part of the ‘Full Containment Edition’ package.

Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord is intended as a cooperative game. Teams of up to four can go ghost hunting together, taking on various tasks that are more than just bustin’. To that end, character customisation is a huge part of the game. Much like last year’s console release of Ghostbusters: Spirits Unleashed, being able to identify who-is-who when playing online is important. And developer nDreams has certainly taken that into account.

Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord will support both free and paid DLC. Four new equipment skins and more than 10 additional player avatars will be presented. Furthermore, something called ‘Slimer Hunt’ will be added. There’s not really much information on exactly what this is at present. XR Source’s money is on a new gameplay mode, however.

There’s other surprises in store which haven’t yet been confirmed. However, what has been confirmed is that the content plan includes a six month rollout strategy, as detailed in the image below.
