Meta Quest 2 free game bundle

Posted on: 31 Jan 2023

It seems as though Meta is currently on a gifting spree (if you can call it that), discounting Meta Quest Pro and giving free games to new customers. The latest is a free game bundle for Meta Quest 2, where a new purchase will net you a free copy of GOLF+ and Space Pirate Trainer DX.

Beginning this Sunday, 5th February, each new Quest 2 bought will net you both videogames, worth a total of £38 GBP ($50 USD). The offer is available on both 128GB and 256GB models, running until 3rd June 2023.

Space Pirate Trainer DX - Free Game Bundle

Space Pirate Trainer

The original Space Pirate Trainer was a hugely popular wave shooter. Providing an early highlight of the benefits of first-person shooters (FPS) in VR. Space Pirate Trainer DX, took these gameplay mechanics and massively overhauled the experience to include more players.

A Versus mode allows players to head-to-head in the original environment, where killing an enemy puts it in your opponent’s game. The real gem, however, is the Arena mode. Essentially laser tag in VR, it requires a 10mx10m area, creating an arena to run around and shoot your mates. A lot of fun if you can find a suitable space.

GOLF+

One of the most popular sports titles for Meta Quest 2, GOLF+ is a must for any fan of the sport. It’s the exclusive VR golf game of the PGA TOUR, featuring real-world courses like Pebble Beach, Pinehurst No. 2, The Ocean Course at Kiawah Island, Valhalla, and Wolf Creek.

With both single-player and multiplayer modes, GOLF+ has a massive amount of content to keep you busy. Fancy something lighter than a pro-golf course? The game has mini-games to challenge friends and mini-golf to enjoy.
