Arashi: Castles of Sin – Final Cut PSVR 2, Quest 2 & PCVR Launch Date Confirmed

Arashi: Castles of Sin - Final Cut keyart

The original Arashi: Castles of Sin was a PSVR-exclusive when it launched in 2021, bringing samurai combat to VR. It received mixed reviews, in part due to PSVR’s dated Move controllers. But earlier this year, publisher Skydance Interactive and developer Endeavor One unveiled Arashi: Castles of Sin – Final Cut. Bringing the title to more headsets with modern improvements, a November launch date has now been set.

The stealth-action title is set in feudal Japan, where you embark on a treacherous journey as a deadly shinobi assassin. Chaos has engulfed the country, and to stop it you must kill a group of vicious bandits known as the Six Oni of Iga. Each one is holed up in a castle, surrounded by legions of guards. Using either stealth or brute force, you must scale the walls and deal with each leader.

Arashi: Castles of Sin on Quest 3

Arashi: Castles of Sin – Final Cut will support PlayStation VR 2, Meta Quest 2 and SteamVR headsets for the initial launch. Skydance Interactive has also confirmed a Meta Quest 3 edition is also on the way, simply stating that it’s ‘coming soon’. Considering the Quest 3 doesn’t have a release date just yet – that should come during Meta Connect – it is understandable why.

When it comes to the next-gen VR upgrades, the developers have said: “Heightened graphical fidelity and carefully tuned controls make each new battle more engaging than the last.” Hopefully, more modern controls will mean sword fighting and sneakily throwing shuriken will feel even better and more realistic.

Alongside an arsenal of weapons, players are also accompanied by a loyal wolf companion Haru.

Arashi: Castles of Sin – Final Cut will be available for PSVR 2, Quest 2 and PCVR headsets via Steam from 16th November 2023.
