Down and Out Brings Open World Street Fighting to VR

Down and Out is an open-world VR fighter game currently available for PC VR on Steam. Developer Zatun has now confirmed the game will also come to PlayStation VR, PSVR 2 and Meta Quest 2 in the near future. Additionally, game versions on other platforms will receive major updates.

In Down and Out, players make their way through city streets with nothing but their bare fists. You can explore the hood, watch your opponents closely, and strike when the opportunity arises. It’s a fight to prove that you’re the greatest brawler in town, and that no one can threaten you. While on your city explorations, don’t forget to try the best hot dogs in town, play some basketball and pet a friendly doggo.

The new editions of Down and Out will come with a variety of improvements over the original PC VR version. This will include improvements to the fighting system, smoother and more accurate combat which will improve in-game attacks, along with improved combat UI. Additionally, new NPC animations will be added to show various animations for fights and reactions to other NPC actions.

New abilities will be introduced as well, including ‘Rage mode’ and ‘Disarm’. These will allow players to block incoming attacks that will fill up their rage meter and allow them to attack with increased damage. The Disarm ability will allow players to block attacks in the last possible second, then strike with a powerful counterattack.

Along with the PlayStation VR, PSVR 2 and Meta Quest release, the game will receive some major updates for their Steam, Oculus Rift and Rift S versions.

Down and Out will come to PlayStation VR, PSVR 2, and Meta Quest on 14th September, 2023. Are you ready for some city-wide VR brawling? Let us know in the comments below!
