Fast Travel Games and developer TREBUCHET today announced that Broken Edge, the multiplayer VR sword fighting game, will launch for PSVR 2 next month. This new edition of the game will also introduce a ninth iconic fighter to embody, the Ronin.

In the game, players take on the role of one of nine fighters and challenge opponents to duels in dream-like landscapes. Players can utilise diverse melee weapons, distinctive martial art playstyles and unique fencing mechanics to beat the opposition. Those who conquer their adversaries and emerge victorious will earn a coveted place on the worldwide leaderboard.

“With the power and unique features of Sony’s PlayStation VR2, this enhanced version of Broken Edge will offer even more fluid and visceral sword fighting,” said Guillaume Perreault Roy, Game Director at TREBUCHET. “With PSVR 2’s adaptive triggers, you’ll notice the tension as you unsheathe your blade, and with its haptic feedback, you’ll feel the impact of clashing steel. Coupled with its distinctively vibrant landscapes, Broken Edge on PSVR 2 is a captivating virtual reality experience fit for apprentices and seasoned swordsmen alike.”

Use eye-tracking to focus on in-game actions, and earn PlayStation Trophies as rewards for mastering the art of the sword and defeating opponents.

The game is already available for PC VR and Meta Quest 2. However, as stated above, Broken Edge on PSVR 2 will also include a new character. A respected Samurai, a masterless warrior, unbound and untamed; players can embody the Ronin.
