Paw Print Games, the indie UK studio behind Bloody Zombies has revealed its next VR title. In collaboration with Team17 Digital and vTime Games, they’ve announced VR puzzler Border Bots VR for PSVR 2, Meta Quest 2 and SteamVR headsets.
The game is a light-hearted simulation-puzzle title set in a world full of robots. You play a human border agent tasked with ensuring the safety of your megacity home, whilst trying to climb the corporate ladder. This involves examining documents and using gadgets, including a 3D printer, barcode scanner and contraband detector. You’ll have to interact with friendly assistant AI as well as mechanical denizens, making sure they all have the necessary clearance. You must also make sure that none of them are concealing any unauthorised items.
Stepping over the border
“We are beyond excited to work with Team17 Digital on Border Bots VR,” said Antony White, Director, Paw Print Games in a statement. “Team17 is a company that has created many of the games we spent countless hours with during our childhoods and we look forward to working with them, and vTime Games, to help bring a whole new dimension to our beloved IP.”
Key features of Border Bots VR include:
- Analyse: Check documents for discrepancies and robots for unauthorised modifications while confiscating forbidden items
- Utilise: Ensure a hard day’s work with an array of handy gadgets such as a 3D Printer, Barcode Scanner, and Contraband Detector
- Corporatise: Rise up the corporate ladder by purchasing upgrades, gadgets, and booth enhancements, and keep an eye on the competition with performance review leaderboards.
