Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom has been available for Meta Quest 2 and PICO 4 for several months now. During that time Maze Theory has released several free content updates adding new challenges, weapons and more. Today, the team has revealed that Peaky Blinders VR roadmap has been updated, adding a new timeline and plenty of exciting new content.
Originally, Maze Thery planned on releasing monthly updates for Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom. That has now changed with Game Director Tim Jones explaining: “We’re switching to a bi-monthly DLC format from July onwards. This is to give us a bit of extra time needed to ensure the updates are the best they can be, and to enable us to deliver really focused and meaningful updates that resonate with players. With even more announcements to come, fans can expect further exciting updates before 2023 is out!”
Down the Peaky Blinders Social
You’ll notice that several updates planned for June – like the combat missions – have now been moved to July. However, the big addition to the roadmap comes in September with the “Social Space”.
As the name suggests, this will enhance the game with some much-needed social activities, all centred around the Garrison Pub. Only available for the Quest 2 version, up to six players will be able to meet, chat, and play games together. Mini-games will include classic pub pastimes like darts, helping further immerse players in its 1920s setting.
“This will be the biggest update for Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom to date,” Jones adds. “We believe players are going to love the new social space, which will bring a brand-new way for players to connect and enjoy the game.”
If you’ve not tried Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom yet, the Meta Quest 2 is currently on sale. Head on over to the Quest Store Summer Sale and pick it up for £18.99 GBP rather than £24.99, for a limited time only. Check out our Peaky Blinders: The King’s Ransom review for more info.
