ArcadeXR has announced a partnership with Bay Tek Entertainment to bring nine of their hit games to Arcade Legend. The game is designed as an arcade management simulation in which you build and customise your own arcade. You can then play the games you install. Six Bay Tek Entertainment titles will be released over the next two months, with the remainder launching later this year.
The first expansion pack will feature Quik Drop, Sink It, and Big Bass Wheel, one of the most popular and successful redemption arcade games of the past decade. ArcadeXR has teased that the second DLC pack features arguably “the most iconic game in arcade history”. An official announcement is scheduled closer to release.
Shannon Perell, CEO of ArcadeXR expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, saying, “Bay Tek Entertainment is one of the most well-established and globally recognized game manufacturers in the arcade industry, and we’re thrilled to be able to bring their iconic games to Arcade Legend.”
Holly Hampton, VP of Amusement Products & Services at Bay Tek commented on the partnership, stating, “The ArcadeXR team have decades of combined experience in both the arcade and VR industries, and we’re excited to partner with them to bring our games to new entertainment channels.”
The Future of Arcade Legend
ArcadeXR has also confirmed an agreement with another arcade industry manufacturer. There are plans to bring more retro arcade titles to Arcade Legend, as well as a roadmap packed with free content and more ‘exciting announcements’ to come.
Arcade Legend is currently available on Meta Quest headsets. The game is also coming soon to Steam, with more platform expansion being planned. What other platforms are there? PICO is an obvious call, but perhaps PSVR2? Time will tell!
