Codemasters’ GRID Legends Races onto Quest 2 This Week

2023 has only just begun and the VR surprises have started snowballing. On the gaming front, out of nowhere, Codemasters is set to release its latest racing title GRID Legends for Meta Quest 2 in a few days’ time.

There’s been little to no official announcement from the developer itself, simply the appearance of Grid Legends on the Meta Quest store. Released across multiple platforms last year including PlayStation and Xbox, GRID Legends features 100+ vehicles and more than 130 tracks to race.

From the store listing, it seems the VR edition will feature most of the original core features. There’s a story mode, live multiplayer racing – although cross-platform play isn’t supported – and Race Creator to customise your own races.

With so much content packed in GRID Legends comes in a hefty 31.1GB download. Hence why all new Quest 2’s come with the larger 128GB storage as standard. If you’ve got an original 64GB model, you might need to delete a few items. This is also the first game from Codemasters built as a native Meta Quest edition. The VR versions of F1 2022 and DiRT 2.0 were both PC VR.

GRID Legends for Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro is available to pre-order now. Offering a 10% discount, you can purchase a copy for £20.69 GBP until launch day on 12th January.
