Early summer is a busy time for gamers, with a huge selection of industry showcases on offer. While the legendary E3 has long shuttered, the annual June drive of announcements is as strong as ever. XRSource has decided to highlight all the events we’ve found – not just the dedicated VR ones – because you never know, a VR title may just sneak into an indie showcase reel. Plan your time wisely; there are over 25 events in 2026’s summer showcase schedule.

VR Highlights
Naturally, XRource is mostly interested in the core three VR showcases taking place this summer. The Ruff Talk VR Gaming Showcase, The UploadVR Showcase and The VR Games Showcase.
As per their previous events, we’re expecting plenty of new games to be revealed, confirmed launch dates for those we already know about and updates to existing titles that have some interesting content on the way.
Typically, we don’t know what games will feature, although occasional hints are dropped in the run-up.
However, one notable omission is the Meta Quest Gaming Showcase. Meta only ran this briefly, making no mention of a 2026 edition. Likely saving any gaming news for Meta Connect.
A Few Guesses
While we don’t know what announcements will be made, looking at what games are upcoming gives us a good idea. For example, head to Meta Quest’s ‘Coming Soon’ page and you’ll find games like The Lightkeepers (Autumn 2026), Out of Sight VR (Summer 2026) and PAYDAY: Aces High (Autumn 2026) to name a few. Then there’s the likes of Dead Boss Games, who’ve announced that AFFECTED: The Asylum is set to arrive this summer.
