After much anticipation, ARVORE and Sony Pictures Virtual Reality released The Boys: Trigger Warning for Meta Quest 3 & 3S. However, it didn’t quite live up to expectations. Now, the studio has confirmed that The Boys: Trigger Warning is coming to PSVR 2 in June, with improvements.

The Boys on PSVR 2
It tends to be welcome news when we hear a Quest or PCVR game is making the jump to PSVR 2. The platform doesn’t get anywhere near the same amount of games as its rivals – one look at XRSource’s regular monthly games list proves that.
Seeing The Boys: Trigger Warning heading to PSVR 2 is a good thing. However, there is still some apprehension from players online, considering the Quest launch response. ARVORE has addressed this head-on without giving too many details, simply stating that “we’ve made the improvements the community requested.”
Hopefully, these details, as well as the PS5 Pro enhancements, will be divulged before the 9th June 2026 launch date.
What is Trigger Warning?
The Boys: Trigger Warning puts you quite literally inside the popular TV show. But rather than inhabiting any of the famous cast, you take on the role of an original character, Lucas Costa, who’s looking for revenge against a family of Supes called The Armstrongs. They killed Costa’s family, and so with help from Billy and team (and a few shots of Compound-V), you infiltrate Vought to exact justice.
Cue lots of violence and bloody gore – as you’d expect – utilising a selection of deadly superpowers to tear enemies limb from limb. Such is the official affiliation between the game and the show, the game features cast members including Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk), Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett) and P.J. Byrne (Adam Bourke).
The Boys Review
Naturally, our buddies at 131XR reviewed The Boys: Trigger Warning, finding a game that did a decent fan service when it came to the narrative and general presentation. On the other hand, 131XR did find the combat to be rather dull, and they did experience framerate issues.
ARVORE and Sony Pictures Virtual Reality released a patch in April to address some of these issues, including offering more consistent performance. So we’ll have to wait and see how well the game runs on PSVR 2.
