What is The Boys: Trigger Warning?

For those few of you who might still be unaware, The Boys was a phenomenally successful, award-winning series on Amazon Prime. In this world of superheroes – referred to as Supes – these ‘heros’ aren’t quite as heroic as they make out to be. Which leads a band of normal folks to tackle this problem head on.

However, both groups methods are morally ambiguous, with the series known for its dark narrative, bloody visuals and expletive-filled dialogue. So the question has always been, can The Boys: Trigger Warning come close to replicating this iconic show? For the details released so far, it certainly seems that way.

Trigger Warning Gameplay

In The Boys: Trigger Warning you play as an original character called Lucas Costa. After his family is slaughtered by the Armstrongs – a twisted family of ex-Supes – he joins The Boys to help get revenge. And the only way to do this is by using Vought International’s Compound-V to become a Supe.

You now weild a variety of powers with which to evoke your revenge, ripping heads from shoulders, splitting enemies apart and more. The gore certainly isn’t lacking here. Furthermore, The Boys: Trigger Warning will also feature cast members from the TV series including Laz Alonso (Mother’s Milk), Colby Minifie (Ashley Barrett) and P.J. Byrne (Adam Bourke).

The Boys Launch Details

So if you’re a big fan of The Boys franchise, you’ll be glad to hear there’s not long to wait for the VR installment. The Boys: Trigger Warning will launch for Meta Quest 3/3S and PSVR 2 on 26th March 2026. Quest owners have already been able to enjoy a pre-order discount, dropping the price from $29.99 USD down to $23.99.
