The official debut of Rogue Sun’s puzzler is rapidly approaching. As such, we’re being treated to the second episode of the recently launched Tin Hearts ‘Making Of’ documentary series. Having begun development back in 2016, the game is finally set to launch in VR this summer.
Tin Hearts is a Lemmings-esque puzzler. The game sets the player at the head of small toy soldiers which march unswervingly towards an exit. Unfortunately, their path is often blocked. Other toys, shelves, blocks and massive expanses between tables will get in their way. Of course, it is up to you to help them.
Tin Hearts ‘Making Of’ Episode 2
In this episode of the Tin Hearts documentary, developer Rogue Sun discuss the origins of the studio as a development team, and how the legacy of Lionhead Studios lives on in the team. A curious insight into the team, no doubt. Well worth a watch for those invested in tales of game development – especially in the UK.
Tin Hearts in VR
The game is coming to traditional, non-VR formats later this month. The VR version will follow at an as-yet unspecified date. However, according to Rogue Sun, the game has been ‘designed from the ground up for VR platforms’.
With the use of VR, players can fully immerse themselves in the world. Control, touch and feel the game’s mechanics, or physically move throughout the environments of the alternate-timeline Victorian universe full of nostalgic warmth and charm.
Tin Hearts is coming to PSVR 2, Meta Quest 2 and PC VR this Summer. The non-VR PC, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation and Xbox editions will be available from 20th April 2023.
