Having released A Long Survive for Meta Quest last year, Friendly Fire Studios has been gearing up to expand support to more platforms. This week, the studio announced that the PSVR 2 and SteamVR editions of A Long Survive are nearing completion, ready to launch in April.

The PSVR 2 & Steam Editions
Originally, the Quest and Steam versions were expected at the same time, but the PCVR edition was pushed back for further refinement, it seems. Nevertheless, that now means the PSVR 2 and Steam versions of A Long Survive can now arrive simultaneously on 30th April 2026.
This will be a boon for both current Quest owners and new PSVR 2 and Steam players, as A Long Survive has been built with co-op in mind. And it supports full crossplay between all platforms.
A Major Update
That 30th April launch doesn’t just factor in new platform support either. A Long Survive will get a major upgrade across the board, Friendly Fire Studios has even gone so far as to say that they “completely rebuilt the game”.
What this means is that Quest players, especially, will notice graphical improvements; enhanced character models, new VFX & soundscapes, a refined combat feel; an advanced lighting system, and new map discovery among the new additions.
The PSVR 2 edition will also include specific hardware features such as 120Hz support, headset haptics and adaptive trigger support. PlayStation Trophies are also included.
What is A Long Survive?
A Long Survive is a survival shooter supporting single-player and co-op gameplay. Up to four players take on the role of a Space Corp soldier, all tasked with defending an item called the Nexus. To do this, players must fortify their position, manage their resources carefully and prepare for combat.
There are four unique soldier types to choose from, each will have their own special abilities. As they progress, they’ll be able to unlock new skills, weapons and structures as they progress through the missions.
