The hugely popular VR puzzle game Puzzling Places will finally make its debut for PC VR next month. After launches on Meta Quest, PICO and PSVR2, the PC VR crowd will soon be able to join in the critically acclaimed puzzling experience. However, in a slight twist to the story, the game will also be playable as a flatscreen title.

About Puzzling Places
In Puzzling Places you’ll assemble detailed miniature dioramas inspired by real locations from around the world. The game has built a dedicated community drawn to its relaxing, tactile approach to puzzling. What’s more, continued updates from the developer have kept the game feeling fresh for years.
Puzzling Places is designed to be a relaxing game. While the puzzles do quickly build in complexity, there’s no time pressure. No scores, no fail states. Puzzling Places focuses entirely on relaxation, discovery, and the satisfaction of puzzling. It simply invites you to slow down and assemble beautiful locations from around the world one piece at a time.
Best VR Puzzle Games
The game made its debut back in 2021. Since then, it’s widely been considered one of the best puzzle game experiences in VR. And for good reason, as it makes great use of the immersive nature of the medium including motion-control input, and more recently hand-tracking on Meta Quest.
The game has also featured in several ‘best of’ videos over on 131XR. Below we’ve embedded one such video so you can see for yourself.
Puzzling Places PC VR Launch
The Steam release brings the game to a new VR audience. But also, making Puzzling Places fully playable without a VR headset for the first time. Optimised for desktop, Steam Deck, and VR, you’ll be able to enjoy the same experience either immersed in VR or comfortably on a monitor.
The game will launch on Steam on 9th April, 2026. No price point has yet been announced, but we would expect it to be in line with the Meta Quest and PSVR2 prices.
