The combat-oriented title MFC VR – Midnight Fight Club is confirmed for PSVR2, bringing its strategic martial arts fighting mechanics to VR. Having debuted as a flatscreen game, the VR port is being published by GoGame Console Publisher, and scheduled for release in 2026 on Sony’s current-generation VR platform.

MFC – Midnight Fight Club in VR

The game positions itself as a one-on-one hand-to-hand combat experience built around full motion interaction within VR. Combat is driven by timing, reflexes and strategic choices such as mixing light and heavy attacks, and using defensive mechanics like blocks and evades rather than repeated button presses. The design aims to make matches feel physically engaging with responsive defensive and offensive interactions.

You’ll engage in distinct fighting scenarios where every movement and counter must be judged against opponent behaviour. The VR version emphasises physical engagement, with defensive timing and stamina management highlighted as key parts of encounters.

Character customisation is also a feature in the VR adaptation. Players can adjust attributes like strength, speed, stamina and defence to suit their preferred approach to combat. This allows a range of playstyles from aggressive offence to more grounded tactical responses. These systems provide a degree of structure that aligns with the competitive and progression aspects of fighting games

MFC History

MFC as a franchise already exists in several formats beyond the upcoming VR version. The original title was released for PlayStation 4 in mid-2024, which received mixed reviews from players on that platform. The game has also been made available on Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms, for both iOS and Android.

The presence on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and mobile platforms suggests that the PSVR2 version represents an expansion of the franchise into immersive VR rather than a completely new standalone property. While not confirmed, it’s highly likely that the VR edition is a port of the original game to VR, rather than a new title built specifically for the immersive medium.

MFC VR – Midnight Fight Club PSVR2 Edition

As stated above, the game is being published by GoGame Console Publisher. This is a company with a huge catalogue of titles, predominantly for Nintendo Switch. At the time of writing, no less than 47 titles from the publisher are currently available on the Nintendo eShop for Nintendo Switch. However, no previous VR works can be found.

MFC VR – Midnight Fight Club is listed as a 2026 release for PSVR2. When a more specific release date arrives, XRSource will let you know! In the meantime, let us know in the comments below if you’re excited for a new VR fighting game.
