Puzzle fans are spoilt for choice in VR. Whether you’re after a classic puzzle game like Puzzling Places or something more esoteric like Myst, there’s a vast range to choose from. Expanding that selection will be Astral Shores Games’ Puzzles of the World, due to arrive next week for Meta Quest.

A Puzzling World

As the name suggests, Puzzles of the World intends to offer players more than a simple jigsaw puzzle experience. They’ll actually be travelling the world, with puzzles inspired by landmarks, objects, and scenes.

While games like Puzzling Places have you building an entire scene, here, you’re actually building 3D miniatures while immersed in the location the puzzle is drawn from. Designed as a very relaxed, almost meditative experience, you’ll be able to build Kyoto’s Yasaka Pagoda (Hōkan-ji) whilst enjoying the ambience of the region.

However, that’s not all, you’ll even be able to explore these digitally recreated locations. Venturing down Venetian canals and learning bite-sized facts about every destination. Discover a location’s history and architecture as you build each intricate model. You’ll also have the option to change the music, with a variety of ambient soundscapes to choose from.
