VR Giants Gameplay
Since its Steam Early Access launch back in 2023, the game has received enthusiastic feedback from players around the world. VR Giants stands out for its asymmetric design, pairing two very different perspectives into one shared experience. Players team up as Goliath, the towering VR giant, and David, the small but agile companion, embarking on a collaborative journey full of puzzles, hazards, and teamwork across diverse biomes.
On PC, the player taking on the role of David pays via a traditional flatscreen, while Goliath uses VR. However, on Meta Quest, things are a bit different.
VR Giants for Meta Quest
With the Meta Quest release, one of the community’s most-requested features becomes reality: both roles are fully playable in VR. This also includes two new camera modes for David: one for maximum immersion in VR and for players who prefer a more relaxed setup. VR Giants also offers a dedicated Cinema Room mode, where David’s role can be played on a large virtual 2D screen.
The full quota of 23 levels from the PC original has made its way to Meta Quest, including four different biomes: Ice, Desert, Volcano, Pasture. Across these lands, Goliath can take on three different forms within what Risa Interactive state is around eight hours of co-op gameplay.

Crossplay at Launch
Another major highlight of the latest release for VR Giants is full crossplay with Steam. The Steam client has been updated to feature online co-op gaming in addition to the already existing local co-op mode. Meta Quest players can now seamlessly team up with friends on PC flatscreen or PC VR. And with the Meta Quest and Steam Friend’s Pass included, players can easily join as David, with or without a VR headset.
“We’re incredibly excited to bring VR Giants to Quest,” says Wolfgang Tschauko, founder and lead developer at Risa Interactive. “The new camera system gives David players a completely new level of comfort and immersion. And with the Friend’s Pass included, it’s easier than ever to bring a friend along – they can join for free. And we are not done yet.”
VR Giants is available now, priced at $19.99 USD / EUR for Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S. Are you looking for a new VR co-op experience this coming holiday season? Let us know if you’re adding VR Giants to that list in the comments below!
