Hello Kitty Skyland Beings Quest Early Access in December

A few months ago, Thirdverse announced its next VR project, Hello Kitty Skyland for Meta Quest. A free-to-play, social VR experience, the studio has released the first gameplay trailer as well as confirmed an Early Access launch for later this month.

Bringing the beloved Hello Kitty franchise into VR for the first time, the game is set in a virtual world called SKYLAND. Players will encounter Sanrio characters in VR, enjoy multiplayer games, customise their avatars, and many other experiences.

All of that won’t be available from the outset, however. For the Early Access launch, players will have two avatars to choose from: a humanoid character called SkyMe and Pluffee, an original, rounded avatar. Both of which you’ll be able to customise with a range of original outfits as well as limited-time avatar costumes.

Furthermore, a multiplayer competitive racing game called “Sky Dash” will be available. As seen in the trailer below, you’ll be able to race against friends using Gorilla Tag-style movement mechanics, grappling hooks and more. More content will then be added in due course as Early Access continues.
