When it comes to PSVR 2, it’s been quite often said that more original PSVR games should’ve been ported over. But many haven’t, with a myriad of great VR titles constrained and lost to old hardware. Thankfully, The Binary Mill is one of the few to buck this trend, set to launch RUSH: Apex Edition for PSVR 2 tomorrow.

What a RUSH!
RUSH defined early adrenaline sports in VR, bringing wingsuiting to Oculus Rift, HTC Vive and PSVR in 2018. Offering both solo and multiplayer competitive gameplay, the task was simple: jump off a mountain and race opponents through a series of checkpoints and get to the finish first (without hitting a mountain, of course).
The Binary Mill has completely remastered the game for PSVR 2, with RUSH: Apex Edition bigger and better than ever before. PSVR 2 players will be able to enjoy enhanced visuals with new lighting, weather, and atmospheric effects. The online multiplayer has been upgraded from 8 to 12 players. And there are over 90 unique tracks to race through.
This being a PSVR 2 game, there are adaptive triggers and headset haptics support. Plus RUSH: Apex Edition runs at 90fps on PS5 and 120fps on PS5 Pro.
“We wanted to revisit one of our most-loved VR experiences and give it the full next-gen treatment it deserves,” said Jason Spencer, Community Manager at The Binary Mill, in a statement. “With RUSH: Apex Edition, we’ve fine-tuned every element for PSVR2 — from the visuals to the feel of flight — to make it the definitive version of RUSH.”
