There’s a growing trend of VR games going free-to-play, with recent examples including Super RC. Another to join that list is VRWOOD’s Little Planet, a cosy life simulator which is out now for Meta Quest headsets.

A Cosy Planet

Little Planet arrived a couple of years ago as an Early Access title for Meta Quest. In a similar vein to Nintendo’s popular Animal Crossing, this colourful sandbox offers players a tiny, untouched world that they can shape into their own. Craft furniture, build structures, and sculpt the terrain whilst encountering the furry Planet Pals that run shops and share quests.

Little Planet isn’t just a game, it’s the place you come home to – and so many wonderful people have made their home with us over the last two years,” said Frank Huang, founder of VRWOOD and creative director of Little Planet, in a statement. “Our game has been shaped, and will continue to be shaped, by the players in our community.”

The full version of Little Planet has brought with it new features. Joylings are adorable animal companions that you can customise and play with. Whilst Starnexus is an all-new town square-inspired social planet where players can make new friends, chat, and discover three new mini-games.

A Special Founders Bonus

As mentioned, Little Planet has been available as an Early Access game for two years now. During that time, it was a paid app, and so to thank long-time supporters, VRWOOD has gifted them a special Founders Pack. When they log in, these players will receive their Founders’ Pack, which includes exclusive items, in-game currency, and complimentary one-year access to Little Planet’s premium pass.

VRWOOD has also confirmed that Little Planet will continue to receive regular seasonal updates packed with new content, as well as new features and community events.
