New Gameplay Trailer Arrives for Mind-Bending Puzzler Another Fisherman’s Tale

Another Fisherman’s Tale, the sequel to the award-winning VR title A Fisherman’s Tale was unveiled in February by InnerspaceVR and Vertigo Games. This week, as part of the Future Games Show (FGS) Spring Showcase, even more of the game was shown in a new gameplay trailer.

Just like the first game, Another Fisherman’s Tale features Bob the Fisherman, continuing his story with some mind-bending puzzles. This time around, not only will the experience offer a longer, 5-6 hour adventure, but you’ll also control Nina, Bob’s daughter.

As Bob recalls his extraordinary tales to his daughter as she discovers models, notes and photographs from his past. She begins re-enacting his adventures, weaving an imaginative world of based off memories and fantasy.

Another Fisherman’s Tale puzzles

The core mechanics revolve around being able to dismantle and reassemble your limbs, becoming part of the puzzles. You’ll fling your hands to far-off ledges or swap hands for new appendages like claws. All of which can be controlled remotely. This is all detailed in the new gameplay trailer.

You’ll be able to use the detachable hands to unlock doors or change them for hooks to climb walls. A crab’s claw can cut through a rope whilst a fish’s tail will improve your swimming ability. Additionally, as the environment can become quite surreal, you can even remove your head to get a new perspective on the situation.

Another Fisherman’s Tale is currently slated to arrive in Q2 2023 for Meta Quest 2, PlayStation VR 2 and PC VR headsets on Steam.
