Fans of classic narrative-driven games have something to look forward to this autumn, as Syberia Remastered is set to launch on 6th November, 2025 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. This will be followed by a Meta Quest 3 release on 13th November, 2025. The beloved title, originally released in 2002, returns with upgraded visuals, smoother animations, and a modernized interface. All while staying faithful to the soul of Benoît Sokal’s iconic work.
Syberia Remastered
In Syberia Remastered, players step back into the shoes of Kate Walker. A corporate lawyer sent to a small, fictional village in France, your job is to oversee the takeover of an automaton factory. What starts as a routine assignment quickly spirals into a deeper and more mysterious quest as you search for Hans Voralberg, the true heir to the company.
The journey takes you across snow-covered landscapes, forgotten villages, and surreal locations. All the while you’ll encounter strange characters, steampunk automatons, and themes of legacy, purpose, and self-discovery.
The Team Behind the Revival
The game is co-developed by both Virtuallyz Gaming and Microids Studio Paris. In the most recent communication from the parties responsible, the teams have promised that Syberia Remastered will be ‘a respectful and ambitious revival’.
The of the original Syberia narrative remains one of the most poignant in gaming history. This remaster allows new players to discover why Syberia is regarded as a cornerstone of point-and-click adventure games. Both on flatscreen devices and in VR.

Syberia VR
In this VR edition, players will step directly into the shoes of Kate Walker. You’ll experience the story from a first-person perspective. Walk through decaying train stations, abandoned factories, and snowy streets, interacting with the world not just by clicking, but by physically exploring them in room-scale VR.
Benoît Sokal’s art direction has always been central to the identity of Syberia, and the Meta Quest 3 version brings that vision to life with improved textures, environmental lighting, and atmospheric effects that shine in VR. From the snow falling gently in Barrockstadt to the eerie silence of Komkolzgrad’s factory ruins, every environment will be more immersive, more detailed, and more emotionally impactful in VR.
