Plazma Studio’s Expansion VR is doing quite well, it seems. The sci-fi Action RTS built exclusively for VR has just received a major update. Focused on performance, polish, and new arenas, this new Expansion VR update is now available to all players on Meta Quest and PC VR.

What is Expansion VR?
Expansion VR is a VR strategy game that blends deck‑building with traditional RTS mechanics. Set among newly colonised celestial realms, players take on the role of a space warlord commanding one of several factions, each with distinct strengths and tactical styles. The challenge? To gain dominance over resources, territory, and powerful units.
The game is currently available as an Early Access title on SteamVR for PC VR. It is also available via the Meta Horizon Store for Meta Quest, but oddly doesn’t seem to be listed as an Early Access title there. It very much is however, as Plazma Studio is still developing the game with frequent updates, performance enhancements, and new content being added based on community feedback.
Expansion VR Update
With the latest update for Expansion VR, you can now jump into matches faster with greatly reduced loading times. The update adds four new maps, introduces balance tweaks, and sets Large Scale view as default for a more immersive battlefield. A reworked interface also makes the game clearer and more comfortable to play in VR.
The update highlights, according to Plazma Studio, are as follows:

- Reworked Interface — Cleaner, more VR-friendly menus
- Four New Maps — Fresh arenas for expanded strategies

“From the beginning, our goal has been a competitive strategy game that feels native to VR. This update makes matches faster to start, easier to read, and more exciting with new arenas to master,” reads the official statement form Plazma Studio.
