Detective VR Capture Evidence

What is Detective VR?

Detective VR is a story-driven investigation game where you play as a time-bending sleuth. You’ll rewind and replay scenes to uncover new clues. Confront suspects, explore unreliable testimonies, and connect clues to solve a chilling case. The game features 11 key scenes and six unique characters.

According to development teams Studio Chipo y Juan and Valem Studio, Detective VR has been inspired by narrative gems like ObraDinn/Immortality and Minority Report. With the game, they aim to ‘redefine storytelling in VR’.

From Studio Chipo y Juan & Valem Studio comes one of the most immersive narrative mystery experiences in VR, Detective VR, making its way to SteamVR and PlayStation VR2 in Spring 2026.

Detective VR Gameplay

As stated above, Detective VR features six unique characters. Each of which has been motion captured from live performances of actors. You’ll engage with these characters by exploring unreliable testimonies and confronting suspects to uncover the truth.

The game aims to make you feel like a true crime scene investigator. You’ll be responsible for taking photos, linking clues, and switching environments to find new evidence. The pressure is on as you are at the center of the investigation, observing everything to solve the crime. Each suspect offers their own “truth,” and you must carefully evaluate their testimonials.

Time Control provides an immersive way to explore the story through character replays, allowing you to rewind, pause, and play scenes to discover hidden clues in the timeline and expose who speaks the truth in a web of lies.
