Following its PC VR debut back in 2023, Arcadia VR has launched the Meta Quest edition of Requisition VR. The game brings a zombie extraction shooter to the VR masses, and in 131XR’s Requisition VR review, you’ll learn that it does a pretty good job of it.

Requisition VR for Meta Quest

Requisition VR is a first-person zombie extraction shooter roguelite. Phew! That’s a long descriptor, but in reality that’s exactly what the game delivers. You’ll be leaving the safety of your hub area going out into a world ravaged by the undead. You must collect weapons and ammo, while pursuing an ultimate prize. In order to obtain it, you must first find the access code. Once collected, you must head to the extraction point to make a getaway with your reward.

All the while, or course, you must avoid being taken out by all manner of poorly armed undead and dastardly traps.

Upon returning to your hub you’ll receive a cash reward dependent on your performance, which can the be spent on upgrading your equipment. Thus, improving your next run, potentially delivering even greater rewards. It’s a simple and familiar gameplay loop. And despite some minor flaws, Requisition VR delivers it well.

In 131XR’s Requisition VR review below, you’ll learn more details about the above gameplay loop. Exactly how does the reward system work? What plays out when you drop into a map? You heard there’s co-op, and competitive multiplayer, right? All of this and more is discussed in the below video.

What’s more, while Requisition VR is an enjoyable game, it’s not perfect. Several of the game’s flaws are highlighted in the video below, helping you to make an informed decision about whether Requisition VR is the game for you.

What’s next for Arcadia VR?

The studio behind Requisition VR isn’t all-in on the technology. Their output seems to balance 50:50 VR to non-VR. For example, while the Meta Quest port of Requisition VR is their latest release, next is a flatscreen game called Courier Bay.

Of course, as is the trend in modern VR, we can expect more support for Requisition VR down the line. Details on what’s coming next for the Meta Quest edition are thin at present, as the game has only just launched. But we can be confident that the studio is compiling notes on community feedback, ready for the next evolution of the game.
