It’s time to blast off to a galaxy far, far away. Indie developers Brainseed Factory and publisher Perp Games have announced that the puzzle platformer, Squishies, has hurtled its way to full launch on Meta Quest.

What is Squishies?
Set in a universe full of alien flora and fauna, you’ll be encountering all manner of colourful critters in Squishies. Some will want to get in the way, and others can be used to your advantage to get each Squishie to the other side of the map.
Squishies is a puzzle platform game in which you have to help the titular creatures reach and exit on each level. Using VR’s motion controls, you’ll be blowing and sucking air in order to roll the rotund rascals through 100 different levels. Think of a kind of abstract Marble Madness with indirect controls, and you might be close to how Squishies plays.
As you navigate each toothy-grinned critter, you’ll want to grab the collectable crystals, hidden eggs, and beat the clock. The game’s scalable maps mean that you can move and rotate each level to ensure that nothing gets left behind.
PCVR, PSVR and Meta Quest
Squishies made its debut on PlayStation VR way back in 2018. This was followed by a PC VR release in 2020. Since then, the game has seen significant improvements.
For the Meta Quest edition, the game has been significantly updated with improved graphics. Performance for all devices, refined controls, fully unlocked content, and a more efficient community backend have all been added. And that last one is particularly important for one of Squishies‘ most impressive features.
Squishies Full Launch
With the full release version of Squishies, you’re encouraged to share your creative flair. In the Level Editor, you can design and craft your own engaging puzzles. Add as many hills, cliffs, enemies, and objectives as you like, utilizing the same Power-Ups tool Brainseed Factory used to create the game.
Throw in some cute chaos by adding a wild cast of creatures and bring it to life with countless decorative elements. You can access other builds from the Community Section and continue rolling with the punches as you take on bespoke challenges.
What’s more, on Meta Quest, Squishies can now be played in the newly added Mixed Reality mode. This new addition is part of the full launch edition of the game, available now priced at £9.99 GBP /14.99€ EUR/ $13.57 USD.
