Ghosts of Tabor Leaves Quest App Lab Today

Ghosts of Tabor keyart

Combat Waffle Studios’ Ghosts of Tabor has had an amazing run on Meta Quest’s App Lab. Released into the early access distribution channel in March 2023, the tactical shooter surpassed $3 million in revenue in only five months. Today, Ghosts of Tabor takes its next big step, leaving App Lab for the official Quest Store.

This is a big jump for any game. Mainly because it’ll be far easier to find and access, creating more sales and a bigger user base. Ghosts of Tabor has already garnered an impressive 8K+ user ratings – great for a game on the main store. Now the multiplayer shooter will have the chance to appear in all the category lists that dot the store front.

“We started Combat Waffle with 9 people, new to the VR development scene, and with a dream – to bring our love of extraction shooters to VR,” said Scott Albright, founder and CEO of Combat Waffle Studios in a statement. “It’s hard to believe that only 22 months after launching our studio, we’ve amassed such a massive and dedicated community.

Ghosts of Tabor on Quest

Ghosts of Tabor is an extraction-based VR FPS. Combining PvP and PvE gameplay, squads of up to 3 players work in cooperative multiplayer. Inspired by games such as Escape from Tarkov and DayZ, players have to use their wits, skills and resources to survive.

Featuring a variety of scenarios you have to scavenge for gear, weapons, attachments, ammo, medical, food and water. You can then craft ammo and customise your weapons before heading out on your next raid.

While Ghosts of Tabor is leaving early access on Quest, the Steam version will remain as is. PSVR 2 and Pico editions are planned for later this year.

Ghosts of Tabor joins a growing list of games making their way to the official Quest Store. These include Pavlov Shack, Tennis Esports, and No More Rainbows to name a few. Here’s how to access App Lab games if you’ve not tried them yet.
