PM Studios and MiroWin, LLC have announced that their forthcoming PlayStation VR edition of Desperate: Vladivostok will launch this month. Furthermore, the studio has revealed that work on a PSVR2 edition has already begun, expected later this year.

Desperate: Vladivostok casts players as a contract “torpedo” killer. Set in a dystopian cyberpunk era, known as the ‘Perestroika era’, the game paints a vibrant sci-fi picture. The action is dynamic and fast-paced, with increasingly difficult odds to overcome. The previously-released Meta Quest, Oculus Rift, and HTC Vive versions arrived last year, and brought with them significant acclaim.

Bullet Hell VR Gameplay

The game is a bullet hell VR experience. Filled with primal ultraviolence, furious fights and adrenaline gunfights, it’s not for younger players. The game will immerse you in a world in which you are alone against everyone.

Desperate: Vladivostok promotes a ‘reactive’ gameplay experience. Players will shoot, punch and dodge through more than 50 hand-crafted scenes as they challenge global leaderboards. Dialogue trees place you in the central role as the story develops around you and the choices you make. All of this is accompanied by an original atmospheric musical composition.

Desperate: Vladivostok for PlayStation VR, PSVR2

We’ve known for some time that the game would come to PlayStation VR. MiroWin has now dated that release for 14th February, 2023. The newly announced PlayStation 5 and PSVR2 release has no confirmed date yet, however the studio ‘plans to talk more about those in the coming months’. What they have confirmed however, is that the PlayStation 5 edition will receive a physical release in 2023.

Will you pick up Desperate: Vladivostok on PlayStation VR, or wait for the PSVR2 release? While you’re thinking about that, check out some other PSVR2 games coming soon, and let us know your thoughts in the comments below!
