Veteran VR game developer Archiact has launched their newest title, Journey to Foundation. An epic sci-fi narrative adventure for PlayStation VR2 and Meta Quest 2, your Journey to Foundation begins relatively routinely, before spiraling into a chaotic mess of desertion and villainy.
Based on the best-selling Foundation book series by world-renowned author Isaac Asimov, Journey to Foundation is built from the ground up exclusively for VR. The studio developing the title, Archiact, certainly has some pedigree. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, the team has been working exclusively on VR and AR experiences since 2013. More than 30 titles have been released over thirty game titles across all leading XR platforms, including the likes of DOOM 3: VR Edition, MARVEL Dimension of Heroes, and the award-winning FREEDIVER: Triton Down.
Journey to Foundation is the latest title from Archiact. It’s a narrative driven adventure in which you decide who will rise and what is lost to the fires of anarchy. The player takes on the role of Agent Ward, a spy with the Commission of Public Safety. What begins as a relatively simple mission to investigate deserters in the Periphery quickly goes bad. It soon becomes a battle for control of all humanity. Will you fight for a dying Empire, or join the Foundation to help rebuild what has been lost? The future is in your hands.
The characters you will meet in the game play a vital role in the delivery. As such Archiact has enlisted the services of the likes of Mass Effect’s Commander Shepard (Jennifer Hale) and Hildisvíni from God of War: Ragnarok (James Mathis III) in for the Journey to Foundation cast.
As previously reported by XR Source, Journey to Foundation is available to purchase now. The game is priced at $39.99 USD on the PlayStation Store and Meta Store. Additionally, Archiact has also confirmed that the game will launch on PICO 4 in late November, 2023.
