Combat Waffle Studios and Beyond Frames have announced that Ghosts of Tabor, the VR exclusive shooter, has surpassed $3 million USD in gross revenues on Meta’s App Lab. This figures comes in under five months since the game’s release. In addition, more than 100,000 unique players have played the game across all available platforms.
Ghosts of Tabor is an extraction-based VR FPS. The game is centered on the principles of PvPvE survival. Players will have to use their wits, skills and resources to survive. Inspired by hugely successful games in the genre, such as Escape from Tarkov and DayZ, Ghosts of Tabor features a variety of scenarios. Take your multiplayer team exploring and looting, engage in intense shoot-outs, or assist from the back as a sniper.
Additionally, players can make customisations to their safehouse. By building their personal collection of weapons and gear, they can display their unique collection in their armory. Players can further expand their inventory by gaining reputation with vendors, and customise their loadouts with enhancements before joining a raid.
Following the beta launch on 20th March, 2023, the game has continued to grow its community with continuous updates. The latest major update was deployed last month. This revamped the safe house bunker, added new game mechanics and included numerous other quality of life updates.
Ghosts of Tabor is suggested for a full launch in early 2024 on Meta Quest Store, SteamVR and PSVR 2, with additional platforms to be announced. The full release will include many more additions and features, such as new maps and core meta gameplay systems.
The game is currently available via Meta Quest App Lab and SteamVR Early Access. Are you one of the 100,000+ that’s been playing the game? Let us know your thoughts on the game in the comments below!
