Into the Darkness for PSVR 2 & PC VR Looks Stunning in New Screenshots

Into the Darkness VR has been a long time coming. We’ve known about the PC VR and PSVR 2 release for around a year now, and the game still has someway to go. But that’s not stopping Cosmos Games building the hype, with some fantastic looking screenshots showing just how far the team can push the hardware.

Into the Darkness VR is a action-adventure game built on physics mechanics. In the near future, humanity is trying to achieve immortality by transferring consciousness to machines. Transhumanism, however, is a dangerous path. A poorly conducted experiment can end in a tragedy.

Players take on the role of agent Frank. You are sent to one of the research facilities with which contact has been interrupted. Other agents had previously been sent, but none returned. You must navigate through the environment, solving puzzles and engaging the enemy. All in an effort to discover the dark secret behind the experiments.

Into the Darkness VR Gameplay

Players can freely interact with objects and the environment however they wish. Into the Darkness VR is being built exclusively for VR, with objects having weight and following the laws of real-world physics.

The combat system allows players to use all kinds of objects to fight. Guns, knives, swords… or a keyboard? Thanks to advanced physics system, items in the game world are your weapon. You can use everyday objects to distract and dismantle your opponents.

As stated above, Into the Darkness VR is set to launch later this year. No specific release date has yet been announced, but we have a window of ‘Q3 2023’. The game will be available for both PSVR 2 and PC VR, as well as Meta Quest 2 via Air Link.
