Succubus: Hellish Orgy VR Banned on Steam, Launching on GOG

Madmind Studio revealed that Succubus: Hellish Orgy VR will launch on PC later this month. This announcement follows a ban of the game on Steam three months ago. However, the studio managed to overcome these difficulties by changing to GOG.com. The long-awaited Succubus VR version will make its debut on 20th July, 2023.

Madmind Studio has built a reputation for delivering game experiences that merge the grotesque with sexual themes. The original Agony proved popular for it’s vivid depiction of hell, despite the gameplay being middling at best. Agony Unrated VR is hoping to push the envelope even further. However, before we even get there, Succubus: Hellish Orgy VR is going to show what the studio has in mind for VR.

MadMind on Censorship

Madmind has presented the following statement on the censorship of the game, and it’s new release platform:

“Game censorship is never met with favourable opinions from players, and as developers, we are often forced to cut or modify entire scenes to meet strict censoring requirements. That’s why we are especially thrilled that our adult-oriented game has gained the opportunity to premiere on www.GOG.com.

Our studio has also supported the team responsible for the console port of Succubus – Console Labs S.A. – by modifying the form of censorship in the console version (removal of pixelation). The developer will soon release the anticipated changes in the form of a free patch for the PS4/PS5 version.”
