Upcoming VR game UBOAT: The Silent Wolf has revealed a strange feature. The game is a VR depiction of captaining a WWII submarine, playable in both single-player and co-op modes. However, in a new revealed PEGI age rating, the game has been given a ’16’ for the ‘Use of Alcohol/Tobacco’. Looks like VR gamers will soon learn what to do with the drunken sailor.
As stated above, UBOAT: The Silent Wolf offers you the chance to take on the role of a commander of a legendary World War II submarine. Players will experience an incredible story in the single-player Story Campaign or lead a group of four friends in the Co-Operative Mode. Together, you will track down enemies to achieve success on the maritime battlefield and demonstrate the vessel’s power.
Players can engage in battles with rival vessels. Keep a vigilant eye through the periscope, set up ambushes and watch out for enemy aircrafts. According to developers Titan GameZ, the game features an extensive combat system, faithfully recreated ship and aircraft models. UBOAT: The Silent Wolf is designed to offer the feeling of the true essence of being on board a submarine during war times. Apparently, this also involves drinking alcohol.
While no specifics have been revealed, the official Meta Quest Store description includes mention of ‘a variety of additional activities and mini games’.
UBOAT: The Silent Wolf Release Details
Exactly when you’ll be able to experience the thrill of underwater drunkenness is not yet known. The game is listed as ‘coming soon’ on both the Meta Quest Store and Steam. What we do know however, is that the game will support Meta Quest, Meta Quest 2 and Meta Quest Pro. Presumably, given that the game is launching on Steam, other SteamVR supported headsets will also be included.
