Resolution Games has been a major supporter of Apple Vision Pro, having released Retrocade, Game Room, Gears & Goo, Demeo and Pickle Pro. Now the veteran XR studio has brought its latest mixed reality title to the headset: Spatial Ops: Campaign Edition.

Mixed Reality FPS
While Vision Pro isn’t overflowing with video games like Meta Quest, developers have still been keen to support the device, utilising its array of high-end features.
“Gamers are hungry for high-quality experiences that deliver action-driven gameplay,” said Tommy
Palm, CEO of Resolution Games. “With Spatial Ops: Campaign Edition, we are building on our deep
expertise in gaming and spatial computing to deliver a polished, innovative experience for Apple Vision
Pro users unlike anything theyʼve seen before.”
In this action-packed first-person shooter (FPS), you step into the shoes of an elite agent tasked with protecting the planet from a mysterious threat. What this means is going up against Hatchet Corp, a sinister organisation opening holes between dimensions. And that’s the nice segue into mixed reality, with these dimensional gateways opening up in your play space, into which you can shoot enemies with a range of weapons.
From dual-wield revolvers to RPGs and Tommy Guns, you’ll be able to upgrade your arsenal as you complete each of the seven story-driven missions.
Vision Pro Features
Naturally, the Apple Vision Pro version differs from the original Meta Quest edition. Primarily in terms of resolution, delivering glorious 4K action for players.
However, as this is a fast-paced shooter, you can’t use Vision Pro’s standard hand tracking. You will need controllers to play Spatial Ops: Campaign Edition, more specifically, PSVR 2’s Sense Controllers. If you don’t have them already, they’ll set you back $250 USD for the pair.
Spatial Ops: Campaign Edition is available now for Apple Vision Pro on the App Store for $9.99.
The Rise of MR Shooters
When it comes to mixed reality gaming, Meta Quest is obviously leading the way, which is why we tend to see ports to Vision Pro. If you do have a Quest and like to see your home whilst shooting enemies, Resolution Games’ Spatial Ops is one option. Or then there’s Espire: MR Missions from Digital Lode, a stealth action game where enemies do appear inside your playspace.
And then there’s the upcoming MissionRift, which is a mix between the two, offering portals to virtual dimensions as well as enemies running around your living space.
So Vision Pro owners, is Spatial Ops: Campaign Edition on your to-buy list, or do you use the device more for spatial computing, as Apple intended? Let us know in the comments.
