BMX City Run VR has been revealed for PSVR2 and Meta Quest headsets, with a planned 2026 release. The game is built upon an existing flatscreen title, but redesigned for VR play. You’ll be riding your own virtual bicycle for immersive VR stunt action across expansive open urban environments.

BMX City Run VR Gameplay
BMX City Run VR’s central mechanic revolves around navigating open areas with a focus on realistic physics and stunt performance. Using the motion controllers, you’ll physically pedal, balance and perform tricks in interactive playgrounds. The environments range from bustling cityscapes to thematic amusement park settings. There’s also more extreme settings, like a radioactive wasteland.
Each location includes multiple missions intended to test speed, balance and precision. Successfully completing challenges earns points that can be spent in the in-game bike store. Here you can unlock new bicycle models with distinct visual designs and handling characteristics.
The inclusion of realistic physics is intended to give each ride a sense of responsiveness. This challenges you players to master your balance and speed to achieve higher scores.
BMX Built for VR
As stated above, the game is built around the use of VR’s motion controllers. Accessibility is also emphasised in BMX City Run VR, with the game supporting multiple play styles and a suite of accessibility options, such as control reminders and tutorial assistance. These features aim to make the game approachable for a range of players, whether they are new to VR cycling or experienced with motion-based VR play.
While VR cycling games are less common than traditional racing or flight simulators, BMX City Run VR will join a small but growing set of titles that focus on movement-based simulation within VR. Its approach combines stunt performance, exploration and incremental progression through mission objectives, offering an experience that is distinct from typical racing games.

GoGame Console Publisher & Midnight Works
The game is being developed by Midnight Works as a port of a non-VR edition of the game. It will be published by GoGame Console Publisher, who also recently revealed MFC VR – Midnight Fight Club for PSVR2.
As it is currently listed, BMX City Run VR does not have a confirmed release date beyond the year 2026. The game appears on both the PlayStation Store and Meta Horizon Store currently, so you can add it to your wishlist ahead of launch should you wish. VR players seeking experiences in a non-traditional racing format should find BMX City Run VR worth monitoring.
