What is Fixer Undercover?
In Fixer Undercover you’ll assume the identity of Agent 404, a covert operative who infiltrates Redemption Prison. Your cover? The guise of a routine handyman. You’ll engage with puzzles and interactions through the use of everyday tools. That means screwdrivers, wrenches, grinders and drills. All of which must be combined and adapted to overcome obstacles and subvert security systems deep within the facility.
Designed from the ground up for VR, the project draws on the Creativity AR’s background in escape-room design, emphasising hands-on problem solving and environmental interaction. Rather than traditional combat or scripted action sequences, the game focuses on creative problem solving. Players must think laterally, using the equipment on hand in non-obvious ways to bypass locked doors, disable security measures, or access restricted areas. Physical interaction with objects is central to the experience, supporting an immersive approach to puzzle design.
Environmental Story and Companion Dynamics
The narrative backdrop involves a suspicious rehabilitation program operated by Warden Viktor Kozlov. The ‘Born Again Initiative’ raises questions that only Agent 404 can answer. And of course, you are that agent. As you navigate corridors, maintenance tunnels, and administrative areas, you will progressively uncover clues about the prison’s true purpose. And perhaps even a larger conspiracy at work.
Assisting you is Winston, an AI-guided drone companion. Winston serves both narrative and functional roles. It’ll provide technical support, deliver equipment, and offering commentary as you tackle complex environmental puzzles. This partnership between player and drone introduces a dynamic character element that helps pace exploration and provides context to challenges encountered throughout the game.
Fixer Undercover Launch Plans
Fixer Undercover is in development for multiple VR platforms. The game will debut on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3, and PC VR headsets. Players interested in espionage-style VR experiences with a puzzle focus can wishlist Fixer Undercover now on the Meta Quest Store and on Steam.
