AAA Game Studios has announced Xploit.zero is scheduled to launch exclusively on Meta Quest 3 next month. Designed specifically for Meta Quest 3’s MR capabilities, Xploit.zero transforms a player’s physical space into a digital battlefield. The game places players in the role of a last line of defense, tasked with protecting a powerful computer system from waves of invading viruses that spill out into the real world.
Xploit.zero Gameplay
In Xploit.zero, you’ll be fortifying your room by placing defensive structures along enemy paths. Turret placement is a core mechanic, requiring consideration of each structure’s field of view, range, and how it interacts with the shape of the room. Hallways, corners, and open spaces can all influence how effectively defenses perform.
As you defeat enemies you’ll collect digital remnants, Memory Cores, that act as the game’s currency. You’ll then use these resources to increase both strengths and defence capabilities as enemy waves become more aggressive. The progression system emphasizes planning and incremental upgrades rather than reflex-based action alone.
While ground-based enemies pose a constant threat, Xploit.zero also requires players to actively defend against aerial attacks. Flying Malworms launch missile-style projectiles toward defensive structures. You must physically track their movement and use hand gestures to swat these threats out of the air, similar to this year’s underappreciated The Smurfs – Flower Defense.
Defending the NeuroGate in Mixed Reality
At the center of Xploit.zero is the NeuroGate, described as the only remaining connection back to reality. Players must prevent hostile digital entities from reaching and destroying it. With the game built for MR play, you’ll find neon-coloured digital elements overlaid directly onto your room.
Floors, walls, and furniture become part of the battlefield, requiring players to consider the layout of their real-world environment when planning defenses. This approach encourages spatial awareness and makes each play space functionally unique.

Xploit.zero Release Details
Xploit.zero is scheduled to launch on Meta Quest 3 on Wednesday, 28th January, 2026. No additional platforms have been announced at this time, and due to the MR nature of the game, PSVR 2 and PC VR seem highly unlikely.
This isn’t AAA Game Studio’s first foray into the immersive sector, with Golf 5 Playoff Edition already available for a variety of VR headsets. Are you interested in a new MR tower defence game? Let us know in the comments below!
