Shoot to Create, Not Destroy

Dreams of Another is a narrative-driven title centered on two playable characters: “The Man in Pajamas” and “The Wandering Soldier.” Players explore these characters’ subconscious thoughts, dreams, and regrets, uncovering abstract themes through a mix of gameplay and interactive storytelling.

Set in a fragmented, dreamlike world, players encounter mysterious objects and characters who help guide them deeper into the narrative. Unlike traditional shooters, where weapons are used to destroy, Dreams of Another turns this concept on its head. Your shots instead build and reveal the world around you, aligning with the game’s core theme: “No Creation Without Destruction.”

This unique gameplay mechanic encourages players to engage with the environment in a non-destructive, almost meditative way. The game promises a slower-paced but visually rich experience that translates especially well to VR.

Dreams of Point-Clouds

One of Dreams of Another’s most distinctive features is its use of point cloud rendering technology. This gives the game a visual identity that’s already being recognised on the festival circuit. The game has won awards for Best Visual Art and Visual Design, with its abstract, semi-transparent environments and layered compositions. The presentation offers something unlike anything else currently on the market.

For players using PSVR 2, Dreams of Another‘s visual style gains added dimension with depth and spatial movement enhancing immersion. The combination of subtle motion, floating particles, and dreamlike transitions is especially well suited to the VR format, offering players a chance to explore the subconscious spaces in full 3D.

Dreams of Another PSVR 2 Edition

With Dreams of Another, Q-Games continues its tradition of creating visually striking, mechanically inventive titles that sit outside mainstream expectations. Dreams of Another‘s support for PSVR 2 offers players the chance to experience an interactive dream world with a fresh perspective on storytelling and gameplay.

For VR enthusiasts looking for something outside the usual action or rhythm fare, Dreams of Another may offer a more reflective and artistically driven experience worth exploring. The game is available now for PlayStation 5 (compatible with PSVR 2) and PC via Steam, priced at $34.99 USD / €34.99 EUR.

Dreams of Another + PixelJunk Eden 2 Bundle

Coinciding with the release of Dreams of Another, PixelJunk Eden 2 is also now available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Steam. Originally launched on Nintendo Switch, this expanded release brings Baiyon’s earlier title to a wider audience. In PixelJunk Eden 2, players control a small creature called a Grimp, swinging and leaping through garden-like stages that grow and evolve based on your movement and actions.

A special bundle containing both Dreams of Another and PixelJunk Eden 2 is now available on the PlayStation Store and Steam, offering players a chance to experience two very different—but thematically linked—titles at a discounted price.
