As we say goodbye to 2023 there’s still plenty of time to welcome new VR games this December. While there was a deluge in November, this month there’s half the amount. Currently, there are only 10 (now 17) titles confirmed so far, for PlayStation VR 2, Meta Quest 3 and 2, and PCVR headsets. Even so, there are still some heavy hitters looking to entertain VR fans this winter.

One of the quirkier VR games we’re looking forward to this year is Wallace & Gromit: The Grand Getaway. Bringing the comedic claymation duo into virtual reality for the first time, it seems Aardman Animation and Atlas V are going one step further. During Meta Connect this week, it was revealed that the Wallace & Gromit game will feature a mixed-reality component for Meta Quest headsets including Quest 3.

As part of the Future Games Show earlier this month, the event featured a ‘VR Spotlight’ segment highlighting upcoming games. Included in that collection was Aardman Animation’s upcoming Wallace and Gromit: The Grand Getaway title for Meta Quest. Having not heard any more about the project since its initial tease in 2022, XR Source is now more excited than ever for the duo’s VR adventure.
