The game has exceeded 500,000 downloads – a significant milestone for any VR exclusive – and has seen significant post-launch support from developers Thirdverse, Inc. The future of VR eSports is about to expand as players and fans alike prepare for the X8 League. Announced by publisher Thirdverse, Inc., the eight-week season will kick-off on 25th September, 2023, with an official pre-season beginning on 4th September, 2023. Players will form their own teams and compete in a 5v5 demolition match each week. Those who climb the rankings can aim for a piece of the $10,000 cash prize pool.
